What a lovely weekend!

The chill of fall has hit Seoul and it's time to pull out sweaters and mitts and dress warmly. One of the things I love about Korea is floor heating. I love to wake up in the morning and put my feet on a nice warm toasty floor! This weekend was definitely a fun one. Friday night we did not hit Hongdae as planned because poor RL was under the weather, so her friend Tom (who was visiting from Norway) and I went to the bubble castle in our neighbourhood for some beers. Later in the evening Cam and Saejin joined us and we ended up consuming far too much beer and we landed home around 4ish.

Saturday RL, Tom, and I hit Cheongdeokgung Palace (hope that is the right spelling!)which was very beautiful. We got to see all the leaves changing and got some really nice photographs (I'll direct you to RL's blog once she has them posted). Then we hit Insadong and met up with some other fine people where we had a really great Korean meal and some drinks. We called it an early night around midnight. Sadly we did not hit Everland as planned because we were tired and RL was still not 100% but it will be our mission to visit that place sooner or later! I cleaned like a mad woman yesturday and did some grocery shopping. I got some photo cd's from school of recent events so I finally have photos of my kids at Sweet Potato Picking check out the photos!

I hope everyone back home has a great week and we'll chat soon! xoxo

Halloween Success and a chicken pocks pandemic!

Well Halloween yesturday was most definitely a success! All of the kids got ridiculous amounts of candy and a good time was had by all. The last time I was in Korea, my boss made me dress like a tart (can't say I liked the slutty outfit too much!). This time around I got a scary costume as I already mentioned and most of the kids were pretty much terrified of me alllll day! Even today without the costume some of the really little ones looked at me carefully first to know that I was okay and back to normal. RL was pretty scary too! She was a zombie doctor with fake wounds and blood all over and doctor scrubs! We took all of the kindergarten students to the park where their moms gave out candy and we took the usual round of photos! I know there were many taken of me yesturday so I will have to wait until the school gets the Halloween pictures on CD from the photographer and then I will post the really good ones on here. So you'll have to wait for that :)

Today started off gloomy and raining but the sun is in full shine and the streets are now dry! Hopefully it stays that way for the rest of the weekend so I can hit Everland on Sunday. Looks like it will be Peter, RL, and myself and perhaps the new teacher Scott. Tonight RL, some friends, and I are heading off to Hongdae for club night. I might get my wish and get to FINALLY get my groove on to some house music!! I miss my girls from home (well my Ottawa U girls who are spred across the middle east now :( ) because they shared my love of house and dancing to house with them around was never an issue! Here it seems that nobody digs house music in my circle..it's hip hop or bust ICK!!!! I've been dealing but I am looking forward to some hard core rump shakin! Tommorow I think I am going to check out a Korean Palace with some fine folks that I have yet to see (if I'm not tooo hung that is). So that's that! Tuesday is Father's Day for me finally and once that over with we are going gung ho with Christmas and wintery stuff!!!! Have a great weekend everyone xoxox

** Oh yes about the chicken pocks pandemic- it appears that K class has 3 infected children and it is quite possible that it will spread so I have been sanitizing my kids and making them wash their hands like crazy people. Good thing I've already had em!

I've managed to scare the crap out of most of the kindergarten students at LCI

HAHA! My scary costume definitely went over well because several kids ran away crying! I LOVE IT! It is lunch time right now and after lunch we are heading to a park to trick or treat...yeah! I can't wait to chase kids around the park and scare the bejesus out of them :) Hopefully I'll have some pics tonight of our costumes :)

Halloween tommorow

Well we are having our Halloween party for our kids tommorow. It should be a good time! I went shopping for a costume last week with RL and I got a really creepy old lady mask and a broom. So I am going to be a scary old lady and hit the kids with my broom (NOT HARD!). So pretty much all tommorow will be Halloween good times as well as Friday afternoon for the kids who don't come on Thursdays.

This weekend (hopefully) RL and I are going to head off to Everland which is a huge amusement park here and ride roller coasters! I think that is just what the doctor ordered! Good times and laughs and rides! I'm still sick a bit..as Jess mentioned on her blog she just can't get better..neither can I!! It is on going and I deal but I love my job and Korea so I'm not going to complain :) Hope everyone back home is well and that you aren't burried under snow any time soon! XOXOX

I can talk!!! yeah!!

Well after a long weekend in silence my voice has returned (somewhat! but enough to teach). I'm glad I can return to normal now, but it looks like Jolene now has the laryngitis..poor girl. Busy week for me: report cards, talking tests, and halloween it should be nuts! Mom I saw all of your posts I will call tonight okay?! Anyway hope everyone had a super weekend! xoxox

Some more of my kindy cuties :)

Here are the rest of my kiddies (with the exception of Jennifer or I like to call her my Jenny) she came after I did so I'll have to get a new photo of her cause I love her. This cutie is Owen. He is the shortest little guy in my class and cute as hell and his granny gives good presents! Owen is famous for his fashion sense at LCI especially his laderhosen! His grandmother dresses him in knee high socks with bows, suspenders, and his pants are usually so far up his bum I am concerned about his little ones not getting any air! I'd like to see him have kids one day! Owen used to have some serious dicipline problems before I came but I've whipped him right into shape and I'm very happy with the progress he's made. He is really smart and he loves alligators! This cutie is Caleb. Caleb won my heart from day one and he is really smart but he's a handful that is one thing for certain. He has a wonderful personality and he can be pretty damn funny when he wants to. He likes to mimic things I say so I've taught him some pretty funny shit! He brought me in a photo of himself the other day to put on my wall of cards and stuff kids have given me. He's pretty proud that I put it up on the wall. I was pretty excited that I got it from him! He was pretty sad I heard that I wasn't at kindy today because of my voice ahh I know this guy loves me :) This little girl is Serena..but I like to call her Serena bobina and she likes that I call her that and she has gotten on the other kids to call her that as well. Serena is very soft spoken and very sweet and kind. She is also very smart and loves to give hugs to me every morning when she comes into class. She is well liked by all the kids and she can draw amazing mermaids and sharks! This is Kaylee, this is definitely not the best photo of her, I'll definitely have to get a much cuter one cause she has a great smile when she is smiling properly! Kaylee loves makeup and has lipstick in her bag everyday. I appreciate this womanly quality and I'm glad that her mom started her early!! Kaylee is a chatterbox and is curious about what everybody else is doing at all times. She likes to draw me pictures and she makes me cards a lot. She's a good kid and I'm glad she's in my class! So that is some more of the fun folks in H class!

Still can't talk...okay I can croak now so I guess that means improvement!

I had the morning off today because there is no way I could have made it through kindy without saying a word. I am at work now though because I have to teach my afternoon classes. I've been doing up work sheets for them because if I try to talk I get this nasty dry cough that doesn't stop so I will just write on the board and have them do work sheets as I sit and sip tea at my desk. I'm a little sad about the no voice thing because that means this weekend is totally shot to hell. I was supposed to go to Jenn's taco fiesta tonight but I really wouldn't be much fun for anyone seeing as how I can't really say anything. Hopefully I will see the girls for lunch tommorow. RL was sweet and invited me for dinner last night with her and Tom, but I really wasn't much conversation but the food was damn good, as a Korean meat dinner usually is.

I've been turning a new leaf and trying to get myself into shape and healthier. I went and got some lettuce, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, cucumber, and I've been eating yummy salads for a week and soup, and although I have no voice, internally I'm feeling quite well. I've been chowing down on pineapple and kiwis and grapes and I think I like this new diet. I'm hoping by my 30th birthday to be in good shape and into a size 6. I owe it to myself. Anyway I hope everyone has a super weekend whatever you do!! xoxoxo

Well...I just had a probe down my throat and it's official..no Father's Day for me :(

So I went home last night and took all of the home remedies I found on the internet for curing laryngitis (including 2 entire boxes of vitamin C powder!) and I awoke this morning to ZERO voice. Not squeeky, not horse, NO VOICE AT ALL. So I got all prettied up anyway and came to school today because it is my Father's Day as soon as they heard me attempt to speak they realized that something was not right. So Jin, took me to an ears, nose, and throat specialist right away. Luckily I have no infection of any kind but I have a seriously swollen larynx and throat. His advice, no medicine, NO TALKING FOR 3 DAYS!!!!! In the English he could speak that is exactly what he said to me. So Jin is downstairs in the office trying to get in touch with the Oh's because she wants to cancel my Father's Day completely and reschedule for another day. I feel REALLY horrible about this and offered to whisper into a microphone..but they want me to be in peek shape for the parents and I guess I have to agree with that. They don't want me to come in for kindy tommorow but I have to come for my afternoon classes..which is fine cause that means I come at 4pm until 7pm. I will have them do work sheets and stuff because I clearly can't teach a lesson in any capacity. I hate to disapoint people and I really am not happy about the cancelling business but, what can I do?? So I'm waiting for the official verdict and then heading back home I guess. So I don't think anyone will be hearing from me this weekend because...well..I can't say JACK! But I hope to speak with you and just speak in general very soon! xoxoxo

Ok so vitamin C if taken in LARGE doses makes ur tummy feel funny

Well it's been a few hours since my last post and I have ingested about 10,000MGs of Vitamin C. It better take away the laryngitis because my stomache is feeling a little bit funny at the moment. It is okay cause my day is almost finished and I don't have to work tommorow morning and I don't come in until 2pm so easy peezy lemon squeezy as I like to say. I finally got a chance to open some photos that my moms had sent along and I felt like posting some cause I like to look at my family and having their photos on my blog is a nice way for me to do that. First the little cuttie on the swing is my cousin Maya. I have not met her and hopefully will soon. She lives in New Mexico and I live in Korea (not really condusive for visits!). Doesn't it look like she could just fly right through your computer screen?? Damn she's a cutie pie!!!

Next my two favorite people. My mom and my dad, I am happy with my life in Korea but I certainly miss them!!! We talk once or twice a week so I can't say we aren't up to speed as to what is going on in each of our lives. Hopefully they will one day come and see me in Korea because that would be really awsome. I don't think they would enjoy the kimchi (actually I don't either) but I think the kalbi would win them over. And perhaps the shabu shabu if I found a new place!!! It's not even the weekend but it looks like I am going to a Mexican Fiesta!! Ariibaaa ariiibaaa!!! Got an e-mail from Jenn saying she is having a taco night for the chickies on Friday. If I have any kind of voice I'm definitly in on that action!!! Corona and tacos..ahhh just like home!!!! Anyway wish me luck for Father's Day!!! cheers all!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Alright so I am totally cursed...I have complete laryngitis!!!! I can hardly even croak a word out..and yup Father's Day is tommorow...I have been online looking for remedies that will cure this thing quick..I've found almost overdosing on Vitamin C (or taking it as much as humanly possible gets rid of it quick) and swallowing 2 ounces of cinder vinegar...so I'll be trying both of those cause I'm doomed if I have no voice tommorow!!!!!!! Wish me luck!

I can't wait until Father's Day is over!!!

Alright so like any hagwon an opportunity for parents to come in to observe turns into a big production. Father's Day is being spread out over the course of 4 days, begining today. My class has their father's in on Thursday evening. The only good thing about the entire day is that I have no morning kindy and start work at almost 3pm and stay at school until about 840pm. I'm really happy with my kids and they have the lesson down to a science now, but I'm a little cheezed because May, my partner Korean teacher, wants us to do the lesson for her so she can see it...GOD!! How many times do I have to do this freakin lesson?? We already did it for observation for Jin (which was manditory for all teachers) but sheesh we practice it all the time...I don't want to do it again!!! Oh well I deal..I just deal.

I'm over my food poisoning...but my throat feels like raw like sandpaper from all the puking I did....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm happy to see that RL is looking healthy and feeling better though..she had a worse go of it then I did. Anyway gotta eat my lunch but I'll try posting some more kiddy photos next time. Going to go to get a humidifier after school today damn this place is dry!

Um mild food poisoning...not so fun

Well the weekend started off well. Friday night I met up with D'arcy, Jess, and Sara in Kangnam. We went and had some yummy Korean food for dinner and took some photos in a cool photo place. Then we headed off for Daechi-Dong to see Jenn. Well, I had had a long day and they were going to dance in Itaewon. Frankly, I love seeing them but I really don't enjoy Itaewon. I like to enjoy the Korean culture not the Western culture found in Itae. So RL had called me earlier and told me she and some other fine folks were chilling in Kangnam. So after we had some yummy drinks at Jenn's I headed back to Kangnam to meet up with RL. I wish the girls had of come with me but maybe next time. We had fun sitting in a cool little basement Korean joint drinking some nice cold beer and chatting it up. The next day I met up with RL again and her friend Tom, who is visiting from Norway. We went to have some shabbu-shabbu for lunch by our place. Normally I love it there and the food tasted great actually and we headed to Baskin Robbins for some ice-cream afterwards. We met up again later that night and went to a nice little area near Dongdaemun for dinner and drinks. My stomache felt weird but nothing I was concerned with. We had dinner and drinks and at about midnight RL said she wasn't feeling so hot so we went home. She made it to our place but was sick right away. I went to bed feeling okay but woke up at about 7 am and puked allllllllllllllllll day. Not the way I wanted to spend a beautiful Sunday. I did force myself to go out at somepoint for groceries but regretted the experience.

I'm okay now and back at school but the food poisoning from the shabbu-shabbu I did not enjoy. I hate it because I can't eat somewhere after I've been sick off of their food, so I need to find a new place for that tasty treat. RL is still a bit off today I hope she feels better soon. So that is the reason most of you did not get phone calls but I'll try to catch you all this week! Enjoy the rest of your weekend back home! xoxoxox

Meet some of the cast of characters from H class

Here are some of the kiddies in my class. RL had a cd with some kids from school on them. This was before my time but they are still in my class. This little cutie pie is Emma. She likes to cry at least 6 times a day but she is very smart and very sweet. I don't deal well with kids crying so it can be difficult with her sometimes but I manage. She can read stories to me that she brings in and she gives me loving. This next little monkey is Joey, he is sweet as sugar and he is so tiny. Usually he asks me for a ride (which means pick me up I don't feel like walking!). He likes it when I carry him around and I don't mind cause I love how squishy and cute he is!! And then there is Julie. She is probably one of my favs (but I don't really have favs cause I'm such a good teacher!!!) She was pretty sour when I first took over the class. I could tell she didn't like coming to school and she was very un-motivated to complete any work or tasks. However, I changed all of that. She is happy all the time and runs into class every morning to give me a big hug. Her mom even came to the school to tell me how much she loves me the other day and how happy she is to be in my class. That is the kinda stuff I love to hear! That makes the job worth while when you can actually see the difference you are making. Anyway there will be more photos to come of the rest of my kids but I must run but enjoy these few pics finally of my kids!!!

How come we never have yummy icecreamy cookie treats like that!!!!! ??

Another week at LCI has come to a close

I survived another week and frankly this one was probably the most stressful yet! With upcoming Father's Day and having to prepare the kids for what will happen it has been a bit of a stuggle. We were required to have all the kids make some art and I have to attach their names and photographs to each one. So we have a gallery of sorts when their parents come next Thursday night.I thought the art project I had chosen was a simple one, NEVER underestimate children! It took the kids an entire day! That is 4 1/2 hrs!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Anyway now we have to get back on track which will start Monday.

I'm glad it is the weekend cause I could use some chill time. Tonight after school I'm meeting Jess and D'arcy in Kangnam and we're going to Jen for some cocktails and then going to a club afterwards. Tommorow I'm supposed to be going to Soho with Joel but he is famous for bailing so it could just be me, myself, and I hanging out..which is fine with me if that is how things work out. For Sunday, RL had mentioned that she was going Halloween costume shopping and I could come too...so hopefully that pans out cause I need to find something to wear for Halloween. I'm just going to go as myself....a princess..but I need a pink dress or something. Anyway I will do my best to call everyone this weekend. Love You all back home and miss you! xoxoxox

The sun is shining the weather is sweet yeah.....

It is a gorgeous day in Seoul and the day is going as well as could be expected! I got an e-mail from my wonderful Auntie Lorraine with photos of my cousin Lyndsey who just turned one! I wasn't as lucky as my Aunt to have made the trip to Luxembourg to visit my cousin but I got some photos so that's awsome! Her she is looking cute and hungry!

Well my anniversary with Edris (or what would have been our anniversary if he wasn't such a meanie!) would have been yesturday. I made it through cool as a cucumber...but it got me thinking...hmmm there are some men I would really like to date. Let's look at Hugh Laurie for example, from the amazing show House! He is hot and British and just hot!!! Oh before I forget, I took the advice of some co-workers and questioned my employer regarding the large amount of money that was taken off of my pay cheque. I really like by bosses so I did not want to think that they would be dishonest, and it turns out my first pay I did not make any payments into pension so it was taken double this time. So that is figured out now!

I never thought I would be seriously attracted to Asian men, however, Korea has one damn fine export by the name of Daniel Henney. He is part Korean part American. I keep my eyes glued to the TV whenever any of his commercials come on that is for sure!!! My life is sad and pathetic I know...but I like it so there! I hope everyone is doing well and I promise this weekend everyone will be getting phone calls! Talk to you all VERY soon! xoxoxo

I miss the pink however this will have to do..

Well I had an interesting weekend. I spent quite a bit of time Friday night trying to get this blog up and running again which has proved to be a fairly successful endevour. I still don't like the look 100% but it is a work in progress shall we say. Saturday night I met up with Jess and D'arcy in the den of inequity I like to call Itaewon. We had a nice time and I met a nice pilot named Paul from NYC. However, he is very white, blue eyes, blond hair (well what he had of hair since his head was pretty much shaved). We had a nice time dancing and he called the next day to chat. He is supposed to ship off to Texas in December so I'm not sure that this is something I should even bother with. Also, I am more into exotic looking men, and have a hard time feeling attracted to any other sort at this point. When did I become so freaking picky??

Sunday was spent in bed as I am not feeling well at all. All the muscles in my neck feel so swollen and they hurt. Not sure what the cause is. After class today Cameron and I are going to Costco to get memberships and do some shopping. Should be fun but it means getting home at like 10!! means I might have to grab one of the Costco hotdogs for dinner!!!! Anyway I hope everyone back home has a lovely Thanksgiving and we will all chat soon! xoxo

-- Update -- Okay so we just got paid and I got like almost 300 bucks taken off my pay. The usual cell phone and apartment fee which I was expecting but almost 200 for National Pension??? What the flying fuck is that all about!!!!??? Last month they took off like 20 for pension and my pay was the same....hmmmmm....did they take off money under pension but really it is to pay for the mattress they got me?????? I'm super cheezed right now!!!!!

So the adventures must begin ALL over again...I know they aren't in pink either!!!

Well today has been a day of mixed emotions. I had a break this afternoon from class and decided to update my blog. There were a few things in the dashboard that I wanted to fix so I went about my business. Unfortunatly the computer at school is all in Korean and my reading in Korean is not exactly tip top (okay I can't read Korean pretty much AT ALL). I thought I was hitting save, however, I deleted my entire blog. So I have been freakin out all day, but as RL said, at least it wasn't a year or more worth of stuff that I lost, only since June (but still that is 4 months of hard work just gone). I was able to salvage some things but I lost all the stuff that was truly important to me. So I thought we should take a trip through memory lane and revisit some of the times I have had thus far in Korea since my arrival wayyy back in July! If you hit search this blog at the very top of this page you can catch snipits of all of the posts I lost, but it just isn't the same as actually being there!!!!

I thought we'd start with the lovely gals I have come to know from down under in Suji. I met Jessica and D'arcy back when I first arrived in Seoul. We met on a hot sticky day in Itaewon and made our way on a three hour (un-intentional) walk through the Han River Park. I remember the blisters.....I still have scars and my feet have not fully recovered 3 months later!!! We have gotten to know each other and have spent some more fun times together since we've first met. I remember our first night out on the town when we ended up in the retched Stompers in Hongdae. We were the only whities in there and boy did we get picked up. If the boys had of been over the age of 25 I probably would have enjoyed all of the action! I was even tanned back then! Oh the memories, now I'm just a whiter shade of pale as the old song goes. The fun did not stop at Stompers! Oh no it did not!! We made some more memories in Hongdae at a little bar called Honkey Tonk. This is the place to go if you are short on cash and want to get completely wrecked! For just 15 thousand won you can enjoy all you can drink beverages and some good tunes all night long. All you can drink turned out to be dangerous for me because 25 rum and cokes later my head began to spin (as did everything else!!). I was even shot on the dance floor rocking out in my head to a tune I don't remember but boy do I ever looked far far gone in this one!But my moments of being far gone didn't stop there. As fun as Jessica and D'arcy are I have made some buds up in my neck of the woods, the lovely Namseong Seocho-gu, Seoul. There are the quirky cast of characters I work with at LCI Kids club as well as my lovable, nutty, kindergartens, who make getting up in the morning worth while!! The kiddies who have stole my heart are: Caleb, Raydon, Dany, Joey Monkey, Kevin, Serena Bobina, Kaylee, Emma, Miss Julie, My Jenny Wenny, and little Owen. They brighten even the worst of rainy days. I have three other classes and the children range from ages 7-11. I have to say I am pretty lucky because I have a kick ass bunch of students and they make me laugh all the time and I can't really say work is a difficult place to be because they really make my job easy and I hope to be able to teach these little ones for as long as I possibly can before I lose them to another teacher when they change levels.

And then there is the only truly cool teacher (well except for Cameron and Peter - FIRST LUNCH HOUR GANG RULES!!) at my school. The lovely Miss Rachel-Lynn from BC, Canada. RL is the one at our school who really seems to get me and that's nice sometimes. There are other great people, but I don't really hang out with them cause well, they just aren't as cool as RL and I are. I've hung out with RL on a few occasions and was pretty sloshed on each of those outtings and thouroughly enjoyed myself! Actually it was RL who I went to today when I deleted my blog, and thanks to her, I have been in her apartment for the last 4 hours trying to put this Humpty Dumpty back together again!!! She saved my butt big time and I can't thank her enough. She shares my deep love of male appendages and she is just an all around cool lady. I remember one of our first times out! The drag queen show at Soho where we met Miss Koco who shared with us her lovely hand made nipple covers! I cherish it to this day! So far it has been fun times and happiness in Korea, other then the mishap of deleting my blog and having to rebuild from the ground up. But I hope you will all stay tuned for more adventures and if you would like to check out photos that used to be posted here please check out my photo album (on the right of this page) for all of the action. To those I have left back home, I miss you all and love you dearly and keep on posting I love to hear from you all. xoxox

How to get to Immigration in Mok-Dong

These directions are from I have Seoul I have followed them myself and they are very good!

Getting your Alien Registration Card

1) How to get there (Main Immigration Office)

a) Find the way from your place to Omokyo Station (Purple Line - 5).
b) When you get the Omkyo take the stairs at exit #7.
c) Walk straight from the top of the stairs for approximately 400 meters. There is a Dunkin' Donuts on the left as a landmark to let you know you are going the right way.
d) At the 400 meter mark the road forks. You should see a white sign on the right side of the road that says "Seoul Immigration Office: 150m"
e) Walk to the right from the fork on the road. You will see a SK gas station. A fancy church further down on the left and a fancy building.
f) The fancy glass building is actually the Seoul Water Company building. We foreigners get the crappy looking building to its left with big writing that reads: "Seoul Immigration Office"
g) Cross the street and enter the door.

The Seoul Subway System

Click on the following link for an English version of the Seoul Subway system. It is very easy to get around in Seoul and I find taking the subway to be one of the best modes of transport! You can buy a T-Money card at most stations. You can just keep adding money to your card and keep riding!

Tips for Teachers Moving to Korea

Second Hand Shops

The last time I was in Seoul I always had my eye open for a second hand shop and I have finally found one!

Yongsan Gu Second Hand Store (click photo for pics of the shop and merchandise) at Samgaki Station (Blue Line) outside exit number 10. Just keep walking straight for about 50 meters and you'll see it on the left.

Getting in the RIGHT Taxi

I learned this quickly the last time I was in Seoul. I thought I'd share this little tid-bit with you in case this is new information. In Seoul there are 2 kinds of taxi cabs: some are grey or white and some are black. To hail a cab in Seoul stand on the side of the road with your arm out (facing the road)
taxis are frequent and you will probably catch one quickly. However, just beware, black taxis are more expensive than the grey or white ones. You'll get the same ride just cheaper fare if you stick to grey and white taxis!

What is that Yellow Dust?

At different points throughout the year you will notice a think yellow dust in the air....you might start to wonder what the heck it is. Well this yellow dust blows in from China and it can be a real pain. Keep your windows CLOSED! or everything you
own will be covered in the stuff. Also you might want to wear a surgical mask if you have asthma or any colds...here is an article on yellow dust.

Where can I get comfort food?

The best place I have found in Seoul to find foods from home is in Dongdaemun ( Blue Line ). If you are in need of deodorent, kraft dinner, oreos, ketchup, mustard, cookies, alcohol, bubble gum, hot chocolate, coffee, pretty much
anything you can think of from North America..you will find here. You will find the good stuff in the basement of the mall (the one that says DOOTA on the side). Basically the entire basement floor except for a few vendors are selling foreign goods. Remember you can barter with the vendors to get better prices! If you are homesick and just want something familiar..this is the place! And the wonderful thing about Dongdaemun is it closes at 5am!

There are other markets in Seoul where you can get foreign goods and there is also a shop in COEX Mall that has foreign goods. However this place seems to have the most variety!
