Flow Festival 2006

Friday night Joel, Rachel Lynn and I met up at Cheongnyangni station and hopped the train for Chuncheon. We arrived around 1030pm and our pension shuttle was there to get us (we had to walk a bit which was torture for RL and her broken toes). Our pension was nice and had a wonderful view of the river. The area we were at was so beautiful. Green hills and mountains, the river, lots of trees, it was a nice change from the city. We weren't exactly sure where the festival was so Joel and I ventured out to find it to so we'd know how far RL would have to walk. Turns out it was about a 2 minute walk from the pension. PERFECT locale! Joel and I headed into the festival and ran into Beaker, Paul, and Scott at the enterance. We couldn't bring our beers in so we sat and drank our beers and went in to scope things out.
There were so many foreigners it was just like any other festival back home. We ended up getting RL up there. The music was slammin!!! There were two stages set up. One for bands, and one for djs. I'm all about the house music and I danced SOOOOOO hard! We ran into so many people we had met in passing at bars or who read our blogs. I actually met a girl who lived litterally 30 seconds from my house in Ottawa. I could see her house from my backyard. SMALL world I tell ya! The biggest joy for me was running into Drake (a.k.a. Sexual Chocolate) whom RL and I have met out several times. He is the most beautiful man ever. He came and hung with us and we all drank and danced and had a wicked time!

Saturday we didn't get out of bed until around 230pm (I am sooooooooo happy we did not tent it). We got ready and Scott came and picked RL up on his motorcycle so she didn't have to walk the trek again. We found prime seating near the house stage. After some chili dogs and a few drinks we were back in full party mode. We met up with all our pals and just had a good time and danced to the once again FABULOUS music! I got my hands on some glow sticks and that was it for me. Those who partied with me back home know that glow sticks bring joy to me that I just can't describe.

I love dancing with them!!! Only one small thing was missing from the weekend but everybody wanted it! Apart from one little LAME LAME moment in the evening it was fantabulous! I didn't take very many pics because I was too busy dancing but check out the album for those I did take :) I'll post more on my blog when blogger stops being mental and lets me post more!
