Happy 139th Birthday Canada!
Today is my wonderful country's 139th birthday. Being from the capital city of Canada, Ottawa,
I am able to partake in the most awesome Canada Day celebrations in the entire country! However this year I will dream of the Canadian beer and sweet leaf that I am missing and sing the anthem to myself and smile! I'll see you in 15 days :) HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!

Well I am already for the big celeb... I am heading down town to Parliament Hill in the morning dressed in red & white. I will meet Marion. Changing of the Guard at 10 AM, the RCMP Musical Ride at 10:30 AM and a string of events to follow. By noon the PM & GG will have their say; then Canadian talents,the one I want to hear is BC's Colin James; others I know Jesse Cook & Susan Aglukark plus those I don't know. We will watch the Snowbirds and walk around the different areas of the downtown area, as we usually do, take in the sites. Dad & Ron will join us at some point & late afternoon back home to a company of folks for a bbq...always a good day. We have had in the last 24 hrs severe rain, thunder & lightning..this PM has been cool but very nice & sunny. I hope tomorrow will be sunny but perhaps cool..that's okay...only 40% chance that we will have showers late tomorrow night which might affect the fireworks if it happens. HAPPY CANADA DAY! It is all happening in the capital. L/Mom
