What a freakin day!

Today was our annual field trip to the Seoul Race track. It was bloody hot, it was kinda fun, and the fruit was good. After the kiddies went home and my older kids came, I found out from Sunny that Dylan, whom I've taught since I arrived in Seoul and was in my old kindy class, is moving to Australia on Monday and today was his last class. No warning from his folks..NOTHING!!!!!!!!! Dylan is like my own child for fuck sakes!! He and I just hugged and cried for the rest of the day..now I'm totally bummed out and sad..I'm going to miss him something fierce. Today was a pre-curser to what will happen when I have to say goodbye to all my old kindies and move home..it is NOT going to be a good time.

One of the things I didn't like about teaching was saying good-bye to every class in June. Students and their parents, after 10 months of school, really become family: They become a part of you. I know exactly how you're feeling.

And yes, when it's time for you to leave Korea, it's gonna be very sad.
