I had to call in sick today. Just got back from the doctor with an awesome diagnosis. Tonsillitis and Bronchitis! It's going to be a stellar weekend!

Today in art the kids were to make replicas of themselves using a bottle and clay and other little odd bits we were given. They did not turn out to look remotely like the children, in fact they looked rather phallic. It was a fun time though.

People are not always pure of heart and the road is not always paved with good intentions.

Don't you hate it when a good chunk of the songs you enjoy listening to remind you of someone who isn't in your life anymore? Almost makes them un-listen-to-able or it just makes you fucking mad or really sad. I hate that! I have to find all new tunes to fill the gigs on my mp3 I can't take the constant musical reminders.

Daecheong Beach

I was not really feeling a beach vibe when I woke up Saturday morning but got my ass up and headed out to Daecheong Beach with Justin, Raymond, Jamye Lee, and Shaun. I'm glad I did. I love how lush and beautiful the Korean country side is. It really makes for a scenic drive. The water was glorious, not a cloud in the sky, and it was HOT. After a day of fun in the ocean I got pretty burnt! We spent the evening on the beach boardwalk sampling the beers of the various marts and meeting people along the way. I woke up this morning with my back and shoulders screaming at me from the burning heat! I decided I didn't want to do another day on the beach so I parted with my pals and came home. Luckily I left when I did because the buses were SOLD OUT until late this evening. I was able to get out earlier but to a different terminal.The rain drops began to fall the moment we pulled out of the terminal. Perfect timing! We may go back for more sun and sand next weekend.

Off to the ocean..

I'm off to the beach for the weekend with some friends for a lil r&r. Frankly it is just what I need! See ya'll next week.

Science

I can honestly say that I was not the biggest science fan in high school but now that I teach science I love it. We made these headphone contraptions yesturday which actually worked really well. I had to do the bulk of the "making" but the kids enjoyed playing.

When I was home this summer, so many people were telling me how hot and humid it was. You don't understand humidity until you've come here. This is what my window looks like every morning. All steamed up from the moisture in the air. It is getting ridiculous and I'm definitely ready for fall!

I would like to thank the assholes under me for beating the crap out of each other, throwing furniture, and screeching like banshees from 1am until 4am last night. I had the best sleep of my life you fucking bastards!

My week in pictures..

It was a good week with a nice holiday smack right in the middle of it. I attended my friend Jin's wedding, hit some bars with my friends, finally finished Harry Potter, drank too much with Saejin, and got stuff done. This is what I have to show for it.

I'm going to go out with my pals and let off some steam tonight. Don't you try and stop me :)

Shells Bells has left the building for a while..

I don't feel like blogging for awhile. Too many sad things have happened to me this week and I'm just not feeling myself. I'm going to disappear for awhile and I will return when I'm feeling more like me.

My ode to Rachel Lynn (yes..we only ever had one pose)

I knew the time would eventually come that our group would be broken up due to life (which sadly does happen). I find myself having to say goodbye to Rachel Lynn whom I love with all my insides. She was the first person to welcome me to Kids Club and has quickly become one of my dearest friends. There will definitely be a great void in both my work and personal life without her around anymore. I wish you the most awesome across the world adventure you are about to embark on and I look forward to one day meeting you again. I love you xoxox You were able to unleash my inner asshole and for that I'm truly grateful.
